After the click,
did they get there?

A useful result
has a counting rule.
Use the number to decide what to investigate. Keep the definition beside that decision.
A click, then the goal.
Each measured email counts once when a click is followed by the named goal within seven days. Recent results can still change.
Where does setup stop?
Compare the goal with the customer’s recorded product activity. A click alone cannot tell you why someone left.

Give clicks the right context.
Click observation needs the website tag or click beacon. Opens can be inflated by privacy features, so use them as supporting context.
Separate activity from lift.
A click followed by the goal is observed activity. It does not prove the email caused it. Campaigns currently have delivery reporting, without Play goal attribution.
A few useful details.
Are these results proof of revenue lift?
No. Goals and purchase attribution show observed activity under defined rules. They do not measure causal lift.
Do campaigns get the same goal reporting?
Campaigns have delivery reporting. They are currently excluded from Play goal and purchase-outcome attribution.
